AN IMMERSIVE TRAINING EXPERIENCE

The Tier-1 Games Brisbane Experience is a one-of-a-kind event where PARTICIpaNTs push their limits through novice to elite-level fitness challenges and firearms exercises.

This is not a competition, but rather an immersive training experience designed to elevate your skills, fitness, and mindset in a high-energy environment.

Join like-minded enthusiasts from across the country to take on Tier-1 workouts and challenging shooting exercises, all under the guidance of experienced instructors and range officers.

Whether you're a seasoned shooter, a fitness competitor, or new to the sport, this experience is tailored to your level, ensuring maximum progression and enjoyment.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Fitness & Firearms Grading – Every participant will be assessed to ensure they are placed in the appropriate level for training and performance.

  • Pre-Event Firearms Safety Training – You do not need to be a licensed firearms owner to participate. All participants must complete a rigorous firearms safety training course and pass a qualification safety standard before attending. (See below).

  • Novice to Elite-Level Workouts – Engage in functional, real-world fitness challenges.

  • Guided Shooting Challenges – Learn precision, speed, and control in a safe and controlled environment under the supervision qualified Range Officers.

  • Content & Media Access – Professional photos and videos of your experience will be available post-event.

  • Community & Networking – Connect with fellow fitness and firearms enthusiasts, grow your skillset, and become part of Australia’s most cutting-edge performance community.

SAFETY FIRST

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION

Safety is our top priority. To maximise what you get out of the experience, mandatory training is required in the lead up to the experience. All attendees must pass a safety qualification before attending the event. This ensures strict safety standards for participants, spectators, and staff.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Complete two shooting exercises demonstrating competency in gun handling, spatial awareness, and accuracy.

  • Must be completed at least two weeks before the event.

  • Failure to qualify does not guarantee a refund, but tickets may be transferred to a waitlisted competitor.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT

Interest in the Tier-1 Games has been overwhelming, with interest being registered from across Australia. This event is a precursor to future competitions, focusing on health, fitness, safety training, and community building.

Stay tuned for pricing announcements in the coming weeks. Due to it being a new sport, and due to the level of interest, this is something we want to get right to ensure maximum buy-in from across the fitness and firearms industries.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Strict conditions apply:

  • 18+ years of age

  • Firearms license is NOT required.

  • Provide original government-issued photo ID at check-in (physical or approved digital ID)

  • Complete online waiver on registration.

  • Qualify via one of the following:

    • Online shooting training + practical qualification

    • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for qualified shooters

SHOOTING SAFETY QUALIFICATION

Note: We’ll be releasing instructional videos in coming weeks to explain the following requirements in more detail.

Additional Training:

  • Optional performance shooting training is available.

  • For competitions Tier-1 uses Hit-Factor Scoring: points scored divided by time, emphasizing both speed and accuracy.

  • Online training material included with event registration.

  • Private/group training available by appointment at the club.

SHOOTING RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

Automatic qualification applies to:

  • City of Brisbane Pistol Club IPSC members

  • IPSC Australia B-grade (or above) members

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Qualification 1: "V3 PKS"

  • Can be completed dry fire, live fire, or with a gel blaster.

  • Completed at City of Brisbane Pistol Club or via video submission.

Par Time: 15 seconds
Dry fire adds 2 seconds to the par time. Manually rack the slide to lock it open before removing magazine.

Setup:

  • Start position: Two chairs forming a 2m equilateral triangle.

  • Three targets (one at 5m beyond each chair, one centered).

  • Three magazines (6 rounds each).

  • Gun and two magazines on the left chair, one magazine on the right chair.

Procedure:

  1. Move to left chair, load, and engage left & center targets (3 rounds each, prone).

  2. Unload, move to right chair, retrieve the magazine, perform a slide lock reload.

  3. Engage right & center targets (3 rounds each, kneeling).

  4. Unload, return to left chair, retrieve the magazine, perform a slide lock reload.

  5. Engage left & center targets (3 rounds each, standing).

  6. Unload and show clear.

Safety Requirements:

  • Firearm must remain pointed within designated angles.

  • Trigger guard must remain clear except when aiming.

  • Support hand must not extend past the firearm.

Qualification 2: "6 Aces"

  • Live fire only.

  • Completed at City of Brisbane Pistol Club or via video submission if done at another range.

Par Time: 12 seconds
Accuracy: No misses allowed.

Setup:

  • Three targets: two at 3m, one at 6m.

  • Table setup: Gun unloaded, three magazines (2 rounds each).

Procedure:

  1. On start signal, engage each target with 2 shots.

  2. Perform a slide lock reload between each target.

  3. Unload and show clear.

Safety Requirements:

  • Gun must remain pointed within target boundaries.

  • Trigger guard must remain clear except when aiming.

  • Support hand must not extend past the firearm.
